“With more than two decades of experience in the mental health field, I opened Harmony Counseling Collective (HCC) as an outgrowth of my dedication to helping people work through challenges that are preventing them from growing, communicating, and realizing holistic well-being as individuals and as members of a whole family.

I specialize in collaborating with families dealing with anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), trauma, communication challenges, parent-child conflict, and neurodivergence.

Having a passion for teaching and supporting the growth of fellow clinicians, I established HCC as a teaching practice— providing opportunities for master’s level pre-licensed clinicians and experienced graduate student interns to further develop their clinical strengths and refine their styles in a holistic, family-centric environment.

That said, my extensive background in family systems therapy is the foundation of my clinical work, which is why my perspective is rooted in the concept of “to effect change in a relationship, or to impact the behavior of others, a person must first change how they show-up.” As such, understanding and involving the family/support system is at the heart of our entire team’s approach.

The depth and breadth of my experience also includes chronic mental illness, adolescent residential treatment, and family, couples and group therapy, as well as living with— and advocating for— families managing ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorders.

My Master of Social Work (MSW) degree is from Marywood University, and I am trained in Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE). This clinical intervention teaches parents how to reduce their child’s anxiety by making changes to how they accommodate such anxiety.

Being a wife and mother of two college-age sons, I provide a direct approach— with kindness and humor— and proven, current strategies to compassionately help individuals and families work through challenges and realize goals.” – Megan
